Don Riddell Biography
Don Riddell is an American anchor and correspondent working for CNN as an anchor and correspondent for World Sport. He joined the CNN news team in August 2002, after previously working for KPMG US.

Riddell works out of CNN’s world offices in Atlanta and is an award-winning correspondent and anchor for World Sport. He is one of CNN’s most versatile reporters and currently hosts World Sport on CNN International. Previously, he hosted the long-running feature show Living Golf and the news shows World News and CNN Today.
The 2016 CNN program World Sports Presents: They’ll Never Walk Alone, which Riddell worked on, was about the Hillsborough football disaster and the long fight for truth and justice. The New York Film Festival gave this powerful movie a silver award. He also reported from Rio de Janeiro on the 2016 Summer Olympics and the deadly Chapecoense plane crash in Colombia. When the team went back to playing, he was in Brazil.

It was about the West Indies’ illegal tour of South Africa during the apartheid era in 1983. ‘Branded a Rebel’ got the ‘Sports Story of the Year’ award from the Foreign Press Association in 2013 and a Golden Eagle from CINE. It had powerful interviews with some of the cricket players who were banned for life.
Besides writing about sports, Riddell has also written about a lot of news stories, like the Royal Wedding in 2010 and the G20 meeting in London. He has covered the Haitian earthquake, the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, the contested election in Iran, and the death of Michael Jackson from the studio. Among the people he has written about are scientists, prime ministers, Holocaust survivors, and the world’s tallest man.

Riddell in British regional television before joining CNN. He started on Calendar News with Yorkshire Television (YTV) in Leeds and then moved on to work as a host and reporter for the London Tonight show on the London News Network (LNN).
