Bourne received her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism, with concentrations in Political Science and Gender Studies from Northwestern University. She is the executive producer and host of the YouTube investigative series What’s Brewing? Her groundbreaking inquiry into the death of a Jacksonville prisoner led to the discovery that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office three times more frequently than any other agency utilized a contentious restraint chair during half of all instances of force inside the jail. Jenna worked as the Bureau Chief for WSPA-TV in Greenville, South Carolina, from 2013 to 2015, prior to her move to Jacksonville.
Three state investigations, a state senator drafting a bill to amend the law, and a state agency revising its licensing policies were all the results of her investigation into how South Carolina was unintentionally granting licenses to sex offenders to practice as chiropractors and home plumbers.
