Most recently, she was the host of HLN’s daily New York-based afternoon news show On the Story with Erica Hill. Hill co-hosted six CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall specials for families about COVID-19 while she worked at CNN. One of these specials won the network its first-ever Daytime Emmy Award nomination.

She also led CNN’s coverage of the pandemic and has reported from the scene of many big news events, such as the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election in Nevada, the Las Vegas shooting, Hurricane Irma in Florida, and more. Before, Hill was a co-anchor on NBC’s weekend edition of TODAY. She also worked for NBC News as an anchor and reporter for TODAY, NBC Nightly News, and MSNBC. She was a host and reporter at CBS News before she joined NBC.

Before being named the new co-anchor of the Saturday version of The Early Show on CBS on September 22, 2008, Hill had been filling in for six weeks. The first show she did as the regular host was on September 27, 2008.
