Keleigh Beeson is an American Emmy-Award Winning anchor working for NEWS NATION as a Chicago-based National Correspondent. She joined the NEWS NATION news team in October 2021, after previously working for KMBC-TV.
Beeson was awarded a Bachelors Degree in Media Studies and a minor in Cinema from the University of Illinois. During her time in college, she was actively involved in the writing of the “Daily Illini” the school magazine. Furthermore, she was active in a sorority and danced on the University’s competition team. Her professional experience also includes roles in media markets in Pennsylvania and Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula. From 2013 to 2014, she worked at Touch Vision TV in Chicago. Subsequently, she joined WFMZ-TV in Philadelphia from 2014 to 2016, where she held positions as an anchor and reporter. In 2016, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to become part of the ABC affiliate KMBC-TV, where she co-anchored the weekend show alongside Katie Horner.
She joined the NEWS NATION Network in October 2021. Here, she has presented special reports covering the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse and various Midwest tornadoes. In addition, she has also hosted segments on extreme sports, such as skydiving and rappelling off Arrowhead Stadium. Before returning to her hometown, she served as an Anchor and Reporter for KMBC News in Kansas City. She expresses gratitude for the opportunity to pursue her passion near her family. Moreover, she has been awarded and acknowledged with the Emmy Award by the Mid-America National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Additionally, she has also received the Edward R. Murrow Award given by the Radio Television Digital News Association.
