Chris Hahn is an American anchor, political commentator consultant and attorney. He works for NEWS NATION as a political contributor and host of the Aggressive Progressive Podcast and the radio program The Chris Hahn Show. He joined the NEWS NATION news team in March 2023, after previously working for FOX NEWS.
Hahn graduated from Centereach High School in 1989 and he continued his education at the University of Albany, SUNY. Here, he not only played on the Albany Great Danes football team but also served as the student body president. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued law school at St. John’s University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1999. He currently practices law in New York. His political journey commenced as an operative in Suffolk County, New York. Where he actively contributed to political campaigns even before reaching the voting age. In 1995, at the age of 22, he made an unsuccessful run for office. His early involvement in politics included working at the 1992 Democratic National Convention held in New York City.
Additionally, he furthered his political career by serving as an aide to Senator Chuck Schumer during Schumer’s initial term in the Senate. Later, he took on the role of Chief Deputy County Executive of Nassau County, New York, working under County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi. Furthermore, he served as the CEO of United Way of Long Island. He entered the television scene in 1995 when he hosted a local television show titled “Youth and Politics.” His commentary career on News 12 Long Island began in 1996 during the Democratic National Convention. His national television career at Fox News started in 2010 when he became a regular guest on “Hannity.”
Subsequently, he made regular appearances on shows such as “America Live with Megyn Kelly,” “Fox & Friends,” “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” “Varney & Company,” and others. In November 2011, he officially became a regular Fox News contributor. Moreover, he is also a regular contributor to Politico’s Arena, offering his insights on various topics. Recognized for his contributions, he has been named one of Long Island and New York City’s 40 rising stars under 40. Long Island Business News also honored him by naming him one of the top 10 Long Islanders under 40 from 2000 to 2010.
