Bash is a respected news anchor and writer from the United States. The two jobs she has now on CNN are host of Inside Politics and co-anchor of State of the Union. Dana Bash was born in Manhattan and grew up in a Jewish home. Her mother is a known author and Jewish studies teacher named Frances Schwartz, and Stuart Schwartz, her father is a senior broadcast director for ABC News’ Good Morning America.

Her maternal grandma Teri Vidor Weinman and her family escaped to the United States in October 1941. They were Hungarian Jews. Sadly, her grandparents’ parents and sister died in the horrible Auschwitz death camp in 1944, when Hungary ruled the area. Dana Bash lived in both Washington, D.C. and New Jersey when she was young. In Montvale, New Jersey, she went to Pascack Hills High School.

After that, she went to George Washington University and got a bachelor’s degree with honors in political relations. During college, Bash did jobs at well-known news organizations like NBC, CBS, and CNN, which helped her learn a lot. Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire, gave her an honors Doctorate of Humane Letters on May 12, 2018, in recognition of her hard work and achievements.

John King Illness

King told his viewers on his show Inside Politics on October 19, 2021, that he has multiple sclerosis and cannot fight off infections because of it. He told CNN New Day host John Berman the next day that he had been diagnosed 13 years before. King said that since working for the Clinton government in the late 1990s, he had trouble feeling his legs. He was given his diagnosis after his problems got worse during the 2008 presidential race.

King was given medicine that, along with a healthy diet and regular exercise, has helped him deal with his illness. Later on, King kept having episodes of tingling, stiffness, and violent pain in his legs, like sciatica, which he says were all caused by his disc problems. That is until King started losing feeling in his arms and upper chest in the summer of 2008. This worried his doctor, who ordered more MRIs.

He has learned over the years that heat and stress are the things that make him lose his balance or have trouble seeing. Sudden loud noises and bright flashing lights can also make him struggle. In addition to taking his medicine, King works out every day by walking on an inclined track for a couple of hours and doing a mix of squats, stretches, light weights, and the rowing machine.
