Janelle Martinez is an American anchor and reporter working for 10 Tampa Bay as the co-host of Great Day Live. She joined the 10 Tampa Bay news team after previously working for WFTS-TV.
Martinez received his Bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. Following her graduation, Janelle had experience working in various markets in the southeastern region. Throughout her more than fifteen years in television news, she has held almost every position. In addition to assisting people with transportation as the morning traffic anchor here in the Tampa Bay area, she has anchored nightly newscasts in Sarasota, Winston-Salem, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
She has traveled on presidential campaigns, weathered hurricanes, and covered both large and little stories. Telling your stories is, however, her absolute favorite aspect of working in television. Being able to do it on Great Day Live every day makes her very happy. On 10 Tampa Bay, Martinez co-hosts Great Day Live. She is ecstatic to be a part of Great Day Live, having grown up in Tampa. She adores the thought of sharing all the “Great” people, places, and attractions in her hometown.
