Jamison Uhler is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for 10 Tampa Bay as a morning anchor and reporter from 4.30 a.m. to 7 a.m. He joined the 10 Tampa Bay news team in May 2011, after previously working for WCAU-TV.
Uhler is a proud graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Throughout his journalism career, Uhler has lived in Phoenix, Orlando, Minneapolis, Tulsa, and Philadelphia. As a reporter for WFTV in Orlando, Uhler covered numerous stories in the Tampa Bay area and multiple hurricanes. Among these were the searches for Jessica Lunsford, the kidnap victim, and the vigil for Terri Schiavo. He reported on the Rays’ World Series victory over the Phillies in Philadelphia. He is also well known for producing high-caliber work. As the 2013 Florida “News Anchor of the Year,” Jamison received the honor from the Society of Professional Journalists.
In addition, the Associated Press has recognized him for “Best Newscast” and for his investigative and feature reporting. He has won five EMMY Awards. Uhler and Linda Hurtado’s 5 p.m. program received the Edward R. Murrow Award for “Best Newscast” in 2012 and 2014, one of the biggest accolades in the business. In 2011, the Society of Professional Journalists granted him recognition for his investigative work on the Kingfish Boat Ramp Murders. Jamison participates actively in the station’s “Taking Action Against Domestic Violence” campaign outside of his employment on the air. Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors of Redefining Refuge, a global non-profit organization that supports victims of human trafficking. During his spare time, Uhler enjoys surfing, hiking, biking, and golfing.
