Macfarlane works for CNN International in London as an anchor and senior sports correspondent. Over the past five years, Macfarlane has been the host of CNN World Sport and many CNN news shows, such as Connect the World, Hala Gorani Tonight, and CNN Newsroom.
Macfarlane has covered big live sports events since joining CNN in 2010. These have included the Rugby World Cup in Japan in 2019, the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang in 2018, and the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
