Alisyn Camerota is an American anchor and correspondent working for CNN as a political commentator. She joined the CNN news team in 2014, after previously working for Fox News Channel.

She works as an author, CNN anchor, and correspondent in New York, New York. In her 30 years as a journalist, Camerota has covered stories both in the United States and other countries. For her breaking news coverage of the deaths of George Floyd and Roger Stone, she won two Emmy Awards. For her breaking news coverage of Hurricane Maria’s effects on Puerto Rico, she won the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award.
Alisyn joined CNN in 2014 and was a co-anchor of the morning show “New Day” for more than six years. She covered the most important news stories of the day, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 election and Trump’s presidency, the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, the terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels, and the Parkland, FL school shooting. When Alisyn covered the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, their Voter Panels became popular and were a must-see. As a correspondent for the network’s Boston bureau, Camerota started in February 1998 and covered a wide range of stories. She also contributed to Fox News Edge, the network’s affiliate service.
