Zach Williamson is an American anchor and reporter working for KMTV 3 as a morning anchor and reporter. He joined the KMTV 3 news team in July 2021, after previously working for KSNB Local 4.
Williamson received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication, along with minors in business and sports & recreation from Iowa State University in 2018. Meeting new people and sharing their stories is his favorite aspect of being a journalist. He was a member of the 88.5 KURE Sports radio team and the sports director for the student-run television station ISUtv while he was an Iowa State student. Additionally, he was able to obtain useful experience through internships with Iowa State Athletics at Cyclones.tv, WOI-5 in Des Moines, WOWT in Omaha, and the Chicago Cubs Triple-A affiliate Iowa Cubs. Zach worked at KSNB Local 4 in Hastings, Nebraska, as a sports anchor and reporter before coming to KMTV. He received recognition with awards from the Nebraska Broadcasting Association.
