Li’s first job was at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, where she did a variety of jobs, such as associate producer and freelance writer for radio and TV. Li became the host of Asia Business Tonight, Bloomberg Television’s first prime-time evening news show in the Asia-Pacific area, in 2006. In 2010, she began hosting Bloomberg Edge and Morning Call.
Her morning business show, First Up with Susan Li, was all about new markets opening in Asia. She also talked to business leaders and reported on the biggest news stories from around the world. Li has also been a strong voice in the media against the rise in violence against Asians. Li earned a degree in economics from the University of Toronto.
