Ferrari truly believes learning about weather and all things space-related in Central Florida at such a young age fueled her love for severe weather and the tropics. She received a degree in environmental and atmospheric science and a minor in geology from the University of Houston. Ferrari didn’t decide to follow her dream of broadcasting until she had an internship at a Houston TV station. She began her career in broadcast news after graduating from college and moved up the ranks through several Texas communities, including Abilene, College Station, and finally Austin, one of my favorite places! Ferrari experienced all of it in Texas, from epic river flooding to Hurricane Harvey and all-encompassing winter weather.
She even got to host the football prediction for game day on the popular pre-game program “Aggie Gameday.” But her true desire had always been to return to the beach and embrace the challenges of tropical weather reporting and forecasting in the state that had inspired her. Ferrari has seen her share of space and hurricane coverage since joining 10 Tampa Bay. It’s been an amazing experience, ranging from continuous coverage of hurricanes Elsa and Ian to documenting one of NASA and SpaceX’s historic crewed rocket launches. During her spare time, Ferrari enjoys exploring new places across the Bay Area every weekend together with her family.
