Salcedo received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. She was employed at the ABC affiliate WOI-TV, Local 5 News in Des Moines, Iowa, before relocating to Tampa. As a reporter and stand-in anchor, she covered everything from tornadoes and flash flooding that devastated the community to University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts’ disappearance. Angelina began her journalism career at WEBN-TV Boston, Emerson’s award-winning television station.
Throughout her four years of college, she worked as a news director, reporter, and anchor. She was able to cover important events including the Boston Marathon, the 89th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, and the 2016 Presidential Election and Inauguration in Washington, D.C., thanks to her job at the station.
