Melissa Andrews is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for WTOL 11 as an evening anchor and Investigative journalist at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. She joined the WTOL 11 news team in August 2012, after previously working for Raycom Media.
Andrews received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Kent State University. There, she produced, reported, and anchored for her college station, as well as PBS. In 2007, Andrews relocated to Toledo to be closer to her family in Cleveland and to take a job as an anchor/reporter at the ABC affiliate. Andrews was a reporter and anchor in Terre Haute, Indiana, before moving to Toledo. The Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio, Ronald McDonald House Charities, American Heart Association, Down’s Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo, and numerous other community groups get a large portion of Andrews’s free time contributions. During her spare time, Andrews enjoys playing soccer, going to a Sylvania basketball game, and spending time with her family. Her motto is, “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life!”
