Liz Claman is an American News Anchor working for FBN as an anchor of The Claman Countdown (weekdays 3-4 PM/ET). She joined the FBN news team in October 2007, after previously working for CNBC News.

When she first appeared on FBN in October, she had an exclusive interview with Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and a famous investor. Claman has had exclusive talks with every U.S. Treasury Secretary during her time at FBN, from John Snow to Paul O’Neill, Larry Summers, Timothy Geithner, and Jack Lew.
Claman has interviewed many business leaders, such as Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, co-founders of Twitter Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone, Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google/Alphabet, and Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft. Claman has also been reporting from the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Owners Meeting in Omaha for more than ten years. There, she talks to investors and owners who are there. For the past 10 years, she has also covered the Consumer Electronics Show and talked to business and tech leaders like Dr. I.P. Park, President of LG Electronics, Nick Woodman, CEO of GoPro, and Tim Baxter, CEO of Samsung North America. Claman reported live from New Jersey during the 2018 midterm elections to learn more about how people in that key state voted.
Claman was a host at CNBC before joining FBN. Most recently, she was in charge of Morning Call and Wake Up Call, Market Watch, and Today’s Business. She got the first one-hour live one-on-one talk with Warren Buffett while she was working at CNBC. Claman, who has won two Emmys, worked as a host and reporter for Boston’s WHDH-TV (NBC) before joining CNBC.
She also worked as a contributing reporter for RealLife, NBC’s syndicated daytime show. Before that, she was the host of The Morning Exchange, an ABC-TV in Cleveland talk show that ran every day for two hours. For her work on The Morning Exchange, she won an Emmy. Claman started her work as a reporter and later as a weekend anchor at WSYX-TV (ABC) in Columbus, OH.
Claman went to Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, and worked as a DJ for the school radio station, WPAA. After that, she went to Beverly Hills High School and became friends with Peter Schiff. Her friend Claudia Cowan, who works for Fox News, has been her friend since the second grade. She went to school at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Sorbonne in Paris. She used to work as a news associate for KCBS-TV (CBS) in Los Angeles.
There, she won a local Emmy Award for Best Spot News Producer at the age of 16, making her the youngest person in the station’s history to do so. Clman votes for the Tony Awards and is on the Board of Directors of the American Theatre Wing. Building Homes for Heroes is an organization that builds mortgage-free homes for seriously wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. She does a lot of work to raise money for them. She has done seven triathlons and one run in New York City.
