Julie Banderas is an American anchor and reporter working for Fox News as a morning anchor and reporter. She joined the Fox News team in 2005, after previously working for WNYW-TV.
Banderas earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Emerson College. Banderas has covered a number of high-profile stories during her time at FOX News Channel (FNC), including the storms that hit the country during Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Dennis, the assassination of nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford by a registered sex offender, Terri Schiavo’s legal case from Florida, the papal inauguration of Pope Francis, and the crash landing of Southwest Flight 345 at LaGuardia Airport. She has also contributed to other network pieces about health and wellbeing.
Banderas worked as an anchor for several local news stations, including WFSB-TV (CBS 3) in Hartford, CT; WHSV-TV (ABC 3) in Harrisonburg, VA; and WBRE-TV (NBC 11) in Wilkes-Barre, PA, before joining FNC. Banderas was the weekend anchor at WNYW-TV (FOX 5) in New York, NY. She started her career in Boston, Massachusetts at WLVI-TV (CW 56).
