John Buccigross Biography
John Buccigross is an American anchor who is currently working at ESPN. He serves as the co-host of the weeknight SportsCenter newscast at 11 am alongside John Anderson and Michael Eaves. In addition, he joined the ESPN news team in 1996 as an anchor of ESPNEWS.
Furthermore, he joined the NHL talent team as a play-by-play commentator for select NHL games prior to hosting The Point which is a weekly hockey-focused studio show on ESPN2. From 1998 to 2004, he was the primary host of NHL 2Night, ESPN2’s 30-minute program dedicated to hockey highlights and news.
As of the moment, he is the play-by-play voice of the NCAA Hockey Championship (Frozen Four). On a number of occasions, he fills in as the host of the nightly hockey highlights program In the Crease on ESPN+. Furthermore, he previously worked at WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, he joined the WPRI news team in 1994 as the station’s weekend sports anchor and later became a weekday anchor.
Furthermore, from 1989 to 1994, he worked at a local news network, Cape 11 News, in Massachusetts.
