Michael Eaves is an American four-time LA Emmy award winning-sports anchor working at ESPN as the nighttime co-anchor of SportsCenter.

Michael Eaves is an American four-time LA Emmy award winning-sports anchor who is currently working at ESPN. He serves as the nighttime co-anchor of SportsCenter at 11 p.m alongside John Anderson and John Buccigross. In addition, he joined the ESPN news team in May 2015, as a studio anchor.

Michael Eaves Career

He has journalism experience in television and radio for more than twenty years and has reported from the Winter and Summer Olympics. He has also served as a host of MMA Live for ESPN.  Previously, he worked at Al Jazeera America from 2013 to 2015 where he served as the main sports anchor and later as a news anchor. While he was at the station, he led the network’s live news coverage on a number of early evening, morning, and midday newscasts.

He served as a sideline reporter for the networks’ Lakers and Dodgers packages and also hosted Clippers Live and Angels Live for FOX Sports West and Prime Ticket in Los Angeles. In addition, he worked for In My Own Words and Before The Big where he served as one of the primary hosts.

Furthermore, he did make appearances as a studio host and sideline reporter, as well as serving as studio host for the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament on FSN’s national Pac-12 football coverage. Furthermore, on KLAA-AM 830, he often served as a guest host and contributor.

Furthermore, he worked at WPTY/WLMT-TV in Memphis for four years serving as a sports anchor. Later on, he joined PRIME TICKET and  FOX Sports West in 2003. While he resided in Memphis he worked at the Grizzlies’ cable telecasts where he served as the Grizzlies’ cable telecasts prior to working on Sports 56 WHBQ where he served as host of the morning sports talk show.

In addition, he has also worked at WKYT/WDKY-TV in Lexington, Kentucky where he served as a producer, sports anchor, and reporter. While he worked at FOX Sports West, he won four LA-Area Emmy awards as Best Sports Reporting and Outstanding Sports Feature categories. Furthermore, he has also won a Telly Award for Best Sports Feature in 2012 prior to being named by the LA Press Club as the Best Television Anchor in Southern California in 2013.
