Caldwell received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Grand Canyon University. Currently, Caldwell offers political, financial, and cultural analysis across FOX News Channel (FNC). Aside from his work at FNC, Caldwell is the founder of Caldwell Strategic Consulting, a bipartisan public affairs and government relations firm with its headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the host of the iHeart podcast Outloud with Gianno Caldwell.

Caldwell had previously worked for Naperville Township, an Illinois local government agency, as the director of government relations. In this role, he was primarily responsible for creating cost-cutting plans for local government, taxes, health care, transportation, and pensions. He effectively advocated for the decrease of property tax rates for the entire town of Naperville Township while holding this post. Before that, Caldwell worked for the Social Security Administration for seven years. In 2011, he was the director of African American Outreach for the largest Republican county organization in Illinois, the DuPage County Republican Party. He also worked as an advance assistant for Mitt Romney during his presidential campaign in 2012.

Christian, Caldwell’s 18-year-old brother, was one of three victims shot dead. Two were critically wounded and the other victims, a 31-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman were unknown to Christian, who was out with friends at the time. The lead detective on Christian’s case did not respond to an inquiry from Fox News Digital and as of 2023, no suspects have been named in connection with his murder. Christain’s funeral happened on July 9, 2022, and Caldwell requested fans, to pray for Justice for Christain as well as strength for his family.
