Gabrielle Lucivero is an American anchor working for WVIT as a Sports Reporter on Friday and Saturday nights at 6 and 11 p.m. Sundays you can catch her on Sunday Sports Replay at 11:15 p.m. She joined the WVIT news team in January 2018, after previously working for FOX Sports.
Lucivero graduated from Boston University, with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Broadcast Journalism in 2014. While there, she was part of the BU Snowboard Team, BU Figure Skating Team, WTBU and butv10. In 2013, she began her professional career as a Falmouth Commodores PxP Broadcaster at the Cape Cod Baseball League. That’s when she “realized how much I wanted to be a sports journalist.” From here, she worked at numerous stations throughout her journalism career.
Including; WHDH-TV in 2014 as a sports desk intern, CupCapes of Falmouth as a Head baker and manager in 2013, Cape Cod Baseball League as a Field Reporter in 2014, SportsNet New York as a Digital Sports Desk Writer in 2014, Time Warner Cable News as a Morning News Reporter in 2015 and a Sports Reporter at Spectrum News Western New York. Prior to joining NBC Connecticut, she was a Sideline Reporter at FOX Sports where she covered College baseball and football. She has covered memorable sports stories, like the the Olympics from Beijing, China, NCAA men’s and women’s basketball to Seattle, Houston New England and New York to cover two major sports markets from Boston to NYC.
Moreover, she is an Emmy-award-nominated anchor and reporter. In her free time, she loves spending her spare time being active whether it is at the gym, riding her bike around West Hartford, or at the ice rink.
