Erica Francis is an American anchor and reporter working at FOX 2 as a morning anchor alongside Josh Landon from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. She re-joined the FOX 2 team on July 2022 after previously working for WKRN as an anchor for 3 years.

For Francis’ high school education, she attended West Ottawa High School in her hometown, Michigan. In 2011, she joined Central Michigan University where she graduated in 2015, with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, she also studied Communication and Media Studies at Nanyang Technological University in the year 2012.

Francis first joined the FOX 2 team in June 2013, as an intern and worked for the station for three months. Holland, Michigan is her native home and it is where news reporting and storytelling become her passion, after reading the morning announcements in her school. While she was at Central Michigan University, she became the school’s TV news anchor and reporter.
After graduation, she secured a job at Grand Rapids at FOX 17 as the full-time general assignment reporter, and not long after she was promoted to a morning and midday anchor. For four years, Erica worked in Mitten where she covered everything from disasters to victories, inclusive of the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
In addition, Francis relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where she joined WKRN in June 2019, as an anchor and reporter. She served as the 4 p.m. co-anchor and reporter focusing on Nashville’s growth and the growing pains that came along with it. Nine years later Erica rejoined the FOX 2 team.
In her career as a journalist, she has received a number of awards; a Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists, a Michigan Association of Broadcasters award, and an Emmy nomination for her reporting and writing skills.
