Tyler Mathisen is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and host who is currently working at CNBC. He serves as the co-host of Power Lunch alongside Kelly Evans and Melissa Lee. The show airs on weekdays from 2 pm to 3 pm. In addition, he also serves as the Vice President of the station’s Events Strategy.

Prior to that, he served as Nightly Business Report co-anchor which is produced by CNBC for U.S. public television. The Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) named Nightly Business Report as the best radio/TV show in 2014.

In addition, he joined the CNBC team in 1997, and since then, he has served as a managing editor of CNBC Business News, responsible for directing the network’s daily content and coverage among other positions.

Furthermore, he has also served as Closing Bell co-anchor at CNBC. He has also reported one-hour documentaries for the network including; Death: It’s a Living, Supermarkets Inc: Inside a $500 Billion Money Machine, and Best Buy: The Big Box Fights Back. Before he joined the CNBC team, he worked at Money magazine where he served as a senior editor, top editor, and writer for a period of fifteen years. In addition, he also did serve as the supervisor of the magazine and its expansion into electronic journalism, its annual investment forecast issue, and mutual funds coverage. For this, in 1997, the magazine won the first-ever National Magazine Award.

Furthermore, for Caring for Aging Parents which was a televised series airing on ABC’s Good Morning America, he won the American University-Investment Company Institute Award for Personal Finance Journalism. In addition, from 1991 to 1997, he served as the money editor of Good Morning America.
