Sarah Rosario is an American Emmy award-winning anchor and reporter working for 10 Tampa Bay as a morning host and traffic anchor on weekdays at 4 a.m. She joined the 10 Tampa Bay news team in Nov 2017, after previously working for NBC News Channel.
Rosario received her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Florida. Rosario has a front-row seat to history as a writer, reporting the human spirit’s resiliency and people’s strength in the face of adversity. Her journalism career has brought her from the Mississippi Delta to the Louisiana Bayous, the North Carolina mountains, and back to the white sands of Tampa Bay. She started on the field and worked her way up to the anchor desk. Rosario has covered a wide range of issues in her reporting career, from the Deepwater Horizon tragedy in Louisiana to various presidential elections, including those of Barack Obama and Donald Trump. Most recently, Rosario was on the ground during the aftermath of Ian, Irma, and Maria.
In addition, she experienced the excitement of reporting on historic events such as the New York City ball drop, the 2009 Saints Super Bowl victory, and our Bucs 2021 Super Bowl in Tampa. Rosario worked as a national correspondent for NBC News Channel before relocating to 10 Tampa Bay. She covered news for all of the NBC stations there, and MSNBC, the “Today” show, The Weather Channel, and other networks carried her tales abroad. Additionally, Rosario worked for a year at WFTS-TV, an ABC affiliate station, in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area at WBRZ-TV and WSOC-TV Eyewitness News. Other stations that she has worked in in the past include KATC TV, in Lafayette, Louisiana Area and WABG Television, in Greenville, Mississippi. Rosario has received several Emmy awards and nominations.
