Mathew Shea Biography
Mathew Shea is an American private chef who is currently a cast on Below Deck Mediterranean season 6.
Rhode Island is his native home. Just at the age of twelve years, he had already discovered that he wanted to become a chef. While he was young his mom ran a macrobiotic cooking school in the 80’s, and this made him more passionate about preparing cuisines just at an early age. He had his first experience as an assistant to a classically-trained French Chef who became his mentor in the galley.
He realized that he could continue cooking and at the same time travel when he crossed the ocean from port to port. With high-end clientele like; Rupert Murdoch, Hugh Jackman, and many others, he has prepared meals for an extensive list of the top one-percenters of the world. Furthermore, now in the sixth season of Below Deck Mediterranean, he brings on board his passion and experience to the galley while at the same time taking on some of the most demanding charter guests and a few unexpected challenges.
