Mandy Noell is an American Emmy-Award Winning anchor working for WOAI News 4 as a co-anchor at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside Jonathan Martinez. She joined the WOAI news team in October 2023, after previously working for Fox 56.
Mandy Noell Career
Noell graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in Electronic and Print Journalism. From there she began her professional career at WMBF in 2013 as a digital producer, Breaking News Anchor, and Multimedia Journalist. In November 2019 she was promoted to a reporter and an anchor. She would anchor the Live Desk during the morning show, report and turn a look live following the morning show, and find, produce, edit, and deliver breaking news stories. She worked with the team for three years.
Later on, she joined WKBN TV in Youngstown, Ohio. Here, she covered two Emmy award-winning newscasts and an Edward R. Murrow Award-winning newscast. The numerous town hall events were joined by politicians, leaders, and members of the community working on the front lines of the epidemic. The nationwide opioid crisis hit Youngstown particularly hard and a documentary on two cold case murders in 1994, involving two teen girls, Sarah Boehm and Kathryn Menendez.
She worked with the FBI to highlight increased cases of cyber-predators targeting school-aged children forced online more than ever during lockdowns at Fox 56 Lexington. Noell worked as a Morning Anchor and reporter in 2021 and although the pandemic forced the world to adjust during her time there, this did not deter her. In addition, she helped launch Fox 56 in Lexington, Kentucky, and anchored the station’s four-hour-long morning show.
