Jon Fortt is an American anchor who is currently working at CNBC. He serves as the co-anchor of TechCheck which airs on weekdays from 11 am to 12 pm alongside Deirdre Bosa and Julia Boorstin.
In addition, he is also the creator of the weekly segments, “On the Other Hand” on “Squawk Box” and “Working Lunch” on “Power. Previously, he served as the co-anchor of Squawk Alley. Fortt joined the CNBC team as a technology correspondent in July 2010. Furthermore, he worked at CNBC’s Silicon Valley bureau where he covered the companies, start-ups, and trends that are driving innovation in the industry.
Jon created The Black Experience in America: The Course in 2020 which is an online resource for exploring history and culture. Before he joined the CNBC team, he worked at Fortune magazine where he served as a senior writer he covered large technology companies like Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, and Microsoft.
