Jim Caramer is an American host and anchor who is currently working at CNBC. He serves as the host of Mad Money which airs on weekdays at 6 pm and as co-anchor of Squawk on the Street which airs on weekdays from 9 am to 11 am alongside Carl Quintanilla, Morgan Brennan, and David Faber. In addition, he also runs the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer. Caramer is also the founder of The Street.

He is a former hedge fund manager and founder/owner and senior partner of Cramer Berkowitz. In 2001, he retired from his hedge fund where he completed one of the best records in the business, inclusive of having 36 percent-plus years in 2000.

In addition, he attended Harvard College and while he was at the university, she was the president and editor-in-chief of the prestigious daily, The Harvard Crimson. After his graduation, he joined the Tallahassee Democrat where he served as a reporter. Later on, he covered stories ranging from homicides to sporting events at the Los Angeles Herald Examiner.

Before he attended Harvard Law School where he graduated with a law degree, he did assist Steve Brill to launch the American Lawyer magazine. In addition, he also joined Goldman Sachs in sales and trading and while he was there, he wrote for The New Republic about stock market issues.
