Dan Ponce is an America anchor working for WGN-TV as a morning co-anchor from 4 am to 6 am alongside Lauren Jiggetts. He joined the WGN-TV team in September 2010, as a general assignment reporter
Before Dan joined the WGN-TV team, he worked for Chicago’s ABC7 Eyewitness News where he served as a general assignment reporter. Ponce started his broadcasting career at WILX in Lansing, Michigan. He attended Indiana University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. In addition, he also attended Northwestern University where he earned a Master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism. Furthermore, he is the founder of the world-renowned cappella group known as Straight No Chaser on Atlantic Records.
