Carolina Leid is an American anchor and reporter working for 10 Tampa Bay as an evening anchor and reporter at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. She joined the 10 Tampa Bay news team in March 2017, after previously working for WABC-TV.
Leid is a proud graduate of Syracuse University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the prestigious Newhouse School. She is a member of both the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Leid was a New York City employee of WABC-TV for almost ten years. There, she was fortunate enough to take the lead on major stories of national interest, including the 2016 presidential election, the Sandy Hook school shootings, and the missing jogger Karina Vetrano.
Additionally, Leid worked as an anchor and lead reporter for Cleveland, Ohio’s WEWS-TV before coming to work for Eyewitness News. There, even though their team wasn’t performing well, she witnessed true sports fans sit in a freezing stadium until the very end and learn about what it meant to be an Emmy-winning team. She also worked as a reporter for CFN-13 in Orlando, Florida, and WCJB in Gainesville, Florida. Furthermore, Leid is a fluent Spanish speaker. During her spare time, Leid enjoys playing golf and spending time with her family.
