Brooks Garner Biography
Brooks Garner is an American meteorologist working for FOX 35 as an evening anchor at 5 p.m., 10 p.m., and 11 p.m. He joined the FOX 35 news team in June 2021.
Garner has worked in Florida as a television meteorologist for most of his career. Over the years, he has worked in the big cities of the northeast to the high Rockies of Colorado, and virtually everywhere in between. In addition, he has worked in the Carolinas at WIS, Houston at KHOU, and in Tampa at WFLA where he covered many hurricanes.
Furthermore, he has had the opportunity to meet a number of the top minds in tropical meteorology from leading seasonal forecasters in academia to former Director of the National Hurricane Center to becoming an expert in the field. Brooks flew into Hurricane Sandy with the NOAA Hurricane Hunters as they tracked over the Bahamas while monitoring weather conditions. In addition, Garner has also forecasted and endured the worst rainstorm in the history of the United States, Hurricane Harvey which flooded Houston with almost 60″ of rain. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and children.
