Brittany Boyer Career
Prior to joining the 6ABC news team, Boyer worked at AccuWeather in State College, Pennsylvania where she served as an o-air meteorologist. While she worked at AccuWeather, she provided forecasts on all types of weather nationally. Before that, Brittany worked at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania where she served as a weekend meteorologist and multimedia journalist. In addition, she has also worked at WJAC-TV where she served as a multimedia journalist.
Montgomery County is Boyer’s native home and she always dreamt of working at Action News. Over the years, Brittany has won many awards for her extensive weather broadcast inclusive of covering; tornado warnings, blizzards, flooding, and many more. Throughout Brittany’s career, thousands of people have relied on her forecasts. Furthermore, she has always had an interest in winter weather and while growing up near Philadelphia,she would follow storms to seen how much snow fell down.
Brittany clearly recalls the blizzard of 1996, that hit Philadelphia for days. Over the years, she has her focus shifted to the behind science. While serving as a meteorologist, she trained behind the science and forecasted weather and effectively explaining it to people. In addition, Brittany attended Mississippi State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. She also attended Penn State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.
