Brandon Hamilton is an American anchor and reporter working for ABC13 as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. He joined the ABC13 news team in December 2023, after previously working for WBTV.
Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in radio and television from Texas Southern University. Before joining WBTV, Hamilton worked for KWTX-TV in Waco as a reporter. Prior to that, Hamilton worked as a digital journalist and producer at ABC 13 Houston, as an on-air personality for KTSU The Choice 90.9 FM in Houston, and as a reporter and web producer for AM580/96.5 News Talk WDBO Orlando. There, he covered numerous events including the Casey Anthony trial and President Barack Obama’s visit to Central Florida.
From there, In 2012, he worked in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, where he hosted postgame shows, created halftime packages, and served in other capacities for Orlando Magic’s radio broadcast. He moved to Houston to work for the ABC-owned station KTRK-TV after being transferred from Florida. At ABC13, Brandon’s daily tasks included content creation, posting on social media, and finding viral/trending stories across the world. In addition to his career, Hamilton has been an Adjunct Professor at Texas Southern University since 2020.
