He was born and brought up in Englewood, Ohio and he is a proud Northmont alum. Seibel attended Arizona State University where he graduated proudly from its Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. In addition, he had an honorable military career and stints in Missouri and Alaska.
