Mauro earned his BS in Telecommunications from the University of Florida and is attending graduate school at Arizona State University to earn an MS in Psychology. He brings his expertise to Denver from KPNX, the NBC affiliate in Phoenix. In Phoenix, he served as the anchor for the morning show and contributed to the station’s consumer investigative unit, Call 12 For Action. Additionally, he hosted the afternoon news and lifestyle show, EVB Live, for six months.
Before his time in Phoenix, he held the weekday morning anchor position at KRQE/KASA in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he played a key role in the city’s fastest-growing morning show for three years. His experience extends to Los Angeles, where he worked as a host and correspondent for Hollywood Dailies and Spotlight on ReelzChannel. He also served as a freelance host on various entertainment networks. His career began at KWCH-TV in Wichita, where he started as a bureau reporter/MMJ in Dodge City. He later became the education reporter and eventually took on the role of morning anchor on both KWCH and KSCW.
