Alicia Vitarelli is an American anchor and reporter working for 6ABC as co-anchor of the 5 p.m. newscast alongside Sharrie Williams and Rick Williams. She joined the 6ABC news team in October 2010.

Over the years, Vitarelli has traveled to cover; the beatification of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, the Royal Wedding, Dancing with the Stars, the CMA Awards, and the Oscars. For Alicia’s daily segments on Action News, she has interviewed numerous Hollywood A-listers. In addition, Vitarelli is also the co-host of FYI Philly, which is a 6 ABC weekly entertainment program.
Prior to working in Philadelphia, she worked in News 12 New Jersey for two and a half years as a morning and afternoon anchor. She also hosted, produced, and created two original franchises inclusive of a bargain-hunting series and the Emmy-nominated “Best Kept Secrets of New Jersey”. Before that, she also worked for Time Warner Cable in New York City and NY1 News as an anchor and reporter for six years.
In addition, Alicia attended Villanova University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Honors, with a minor in Spanish. Vitarelli also attended Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism where she earned a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Furthermore, Alicia has been the Grand Marshal of the Italian American Festival in North Wildwood, New Jersey.
She has also been the Italian-American Woman of the Year for the East Hanover Italian-American Club, the Italian-American Police Society of NJ, and Italian and Italian-American Culture. During her leisure time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, dining outdoors, exploring new finds around town, and spending time with family
