Wisdom Martin Biography
Wisdom Martin is an American anchor who is currently working at FOX 5 DC. She serves as the morning weekday anchor at 4 am-6 am and on Good Day DC at 9-11 am. He joined the Fox 5 news team in 2003.
He attended Jackson State University where he graduated proudly, and this was also where his journalism career began. He was able to secure his first job at WAPT news where he was assigned to run the teleprompter on weekends. Later on, he was able to move up the ladder and he was promoted to serve as an editor, news photographer, and weekend sports reporter before the ad even graduated.
He has worked in; KSEE in Fresno, California as a news and sports anchor and reporter, at CNN in Atlanta as a weekend anchor, and at WKRN in Nashville Tennessee he served as an anchor and reporter.
While he was in Washington, he was able to cover a number of big stories such as reporting live in Miami on the murder of Washington Redskins football player Sean Taylor, he was the first reporter live on the scene of FOX 5’s award-winning coverage of the serial bank robberies in D.C, and reporting live for several days in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
During his leisure time, he enjoys cooking, coaching kids basketball and baseball in the area, speaking at different schools, working out, and spending time with his family.
