Walter Perez is an American anchor and reporter working for 6ABC as a weekend evening and general assignment reporter. He joined the 6ABC news team in September 2003.
Prior to joining WPVI-TV, Perez worked for WNBC in New York where he served as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. Walter has also worked at News 12 New Jersey and WPLG in Miami where he worked as an anchor and reporter. Walter WCTC News-Talk Radio 1450AM in Central New Jersey where he served as the co-host of the highest-rated radio talk show. For 5 years Walter served as the New Jersey color commentator for the Princeton Football Radio Network.
Furthermore, Perez has many honors such as; a New York State Broadcasters Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award for spot news coverage, two New Jersey Associated Press awards, and a New York City Press Club award.
