Vanessa Murdock is an American meteorologist working for CBS2 as a weekend evening meteorologist. She joined the CBS2 weather team in October 2011.
Murdock has worked for CBS New York for more than 10 years and during this time, she has forecasted major weather events such as; Tropical Storm Ida, Super Storm Sandy, and plenty of Nor’easters. Long Island is where Vanessa was born and brought up in the small town of Center Moriches in a street that was named after her great-grandparents. In addition, Vanessa attended Center Moriches High School where she earned a high school diploma.
Later on, she joined the University of Rochester where she received a Bachelor’s in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She has also studied at Penn State University where she earned a Master’s in Meteorology. In addition, Murdock has resided in Ohio, Virginia, Australia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. Whenever she is not working on a weather forecast, she is volunteering in the community. During her spare time, she enjoys looking out for our planet and adventuring in the great outdoors.
