Trey Daerr is an American sports anchor and reporter who is currently working at 7NEWS where he serves as a weekend evening sports anchor. He joined the 7NEWS team in October 2014, after previously working at WISN where he also served as a sports anchor and reporter.
Pittsburgh is his native home and he joined Duquesne University in 2004, and later in 2008, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Business Marketing. Over the years, he has covered sports in Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. He has also covered the NCAA tournament, the Stanley Cup playoffs, NFL football in Green Bay, college world series, and BCS Bowl Games.
In July 2009, he joined KOAM-TV in Joplin, Missouri as a sports anchor and reporter till July 2010 when he left the station. Later on, he relocated to Fayetteville, Arkansas where he worked at KNWA where he served as a sports anchor and reporter for a period of 2 years and 10 months. In addition, he has also worked at WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin worked for years as a sports anchor before joining WHDH-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association as an award-winning sports journalist.
