Travon Miles is an American sports anchor and reporter working for ABC11 Eyewitness News. He joined the ABC 11 sports team in January 2022, after previously working for WMDT.
Salisbury, Maryland is Travon’s native home and he attended Salisbury University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications and media studies in 2012. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, INC. Before joining the ABC11 news team, Travon worked at WMDT in Salisbury, Maryland where he served as the sports director.
In addition, while Miles worked in Salisbury, Maryland, he won many sports broadcasting honors. While he led the WMDT sports department, they won four straight Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards. Furthermore, Travon led the coverage of a number of the area’s largest sports stories such as; the NFL, NCAA national championships, NBA drafts, and high school state title runs. Miles was also a charter member of the startup Delmarva Sports Insider, which is a 30-minute show that is devoted to all local sports. During his spare time, he enjoys watching sports and spending as much time as he can with close friends and family.
