Tracy Humphrey is an American meteorologist working for CBS 13 as a morning meteorologist. She joined the CBS 13 news team in 2022, after previously working for ABC10.
Tracy Humphrey Career
Humphrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama and a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. She began her media career as the weekday Meteorologist at WJCL & WTGS, ABC & Fox Affiliate, in Savannah, Georgia. She then worked as a weather reporter and weekend meteorologist at CNYCentral WSTM NBC3, WTVH CBS5 & CW6CNYCentral, in Syracuse, New York. Humphrey then relocated to Buffalo, New York in 2001 to work at WKBW, ABC Affiliate, as the morning meteorologist.
Prior to moving to California, Tracy spent four years as the Morning Weather, Feature Reporter, and Weekend Evening Meteorologist for Good Day New York in New York City, a morning show airing on WNYW Fox 5. She also worked for four years at KPIX, a CBS Affiliate in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2007. After three years, she joined ABC10, the ABC affiliate in Sacramento, where she spent four years working as a Primary Meteorologist for the weekend evening news broadcast and reported on local wildfires and their impact on our weather forecast.
Tracy relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2014 to work as a Morning news and entertainment anchor at 11Alive and would also fill the role of morning weekend Meteorologist. She joined KOVR in 2022 and now works as a Meteorologist for the station’s morning newscasts CBS 13 Mornings and Good Day Sacramento. In addition to her career, Tracy is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the American Meteorological Society and has finished her educational requirement for the AMS Seal of Approval.
