Tim Pandajis Biography
Tim Pandajis is an American chief meteorologist working for 13News Now as an evening meteorologist from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. He joined the 13News Now news team in November 2023, after previously working for KHOU 11.
Pandajis obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Western Connecticut State University. He continued to Virginia Tech to finish his Master’s degree in Global Sustainability and Natural Resources. Following his graduation he interned for WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News in Hartford from September 2009 to March 2010. He then began working as a meteorologist at WCSU Weather Center, where he submitted daily forecasts as well as forecast maps to several prominent Connecticut newspapers such as The Record-Journal, Waterbury Republican, The Hartford Courant, and The New London Day.
Pandajis also worked as a freelance meteorologist for the WRNN-TV Fios 1 News, weekday morning and noon meteorologist for WHAG Hagerstown, Maryland, and as a meteorologist and traffic anchor/reporter for ABC 8News WRIC Richmond, Virginia. Although Tim’s profession has taken him all over the nation, the majority of it has been spent in the state of Virginia. But he’s no stranger to Hampton Roads; he spent five years working as the Daybreak meteorologist for 13News Now Weather Team in September 2016 before accepting a position at its sister station, KHOU, in Houston, Texas, in June 2021. After spending two years in Houston, he returned to Norfolk in November 2023. Pandajis holds the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal.

Pandajis joined KHOU 11 in June 2021 from 13News Now WVEC Norfolk, Virginia where he had been since 2016. On Friday, October 27, 2023, he announced he was leaving the KHOU 11 weather department and later stated that he was rejoining 13News Now WVEC Norfolk. He made the announcement about an hour before the Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers ALCS 7 game and that same day was his last day on air with his KHOU team. His first day back in Norfolk was November 6th, 2023. He took the chief meteorologist title from Jeff Lawson who retired from the station on November 15, 2023.
