Tiffany Tarpley is an American anchor working for WEWS. She serves as a weekday morning co-anchor of Good Morning Cleveland alongside Mike Brookbank and meteorologist Trent Magill from 4:30 am -7 a.m. She joined the WEWS team in 2024.
Tiffany Tarpley Career
Lorain is Tarpley’s native home and she attended Lorain County Community College where she studied Television Production. She also studied at Bowling Green State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology. After having graduated, Tiffany worked for WTOL in Toledo, Ohio. While she was there, she did video editing, and photography, and served as a fill-in reporter. In addition, Tarpley worked for WTOL for almost a year before later relocating to Lima, Ohio where she served as an anchor/reporter for WOHL-TV.
Furthermore, Tiffany has also worked for WUPW which is the FOX affiliate station in Toledo, Ohio. While she was at WUPW, she served as a producer, reporter, and weekend anchor for 6 years. Tarpley’s work at WUPW as a producer and reporter earned her two regional Emmys and an Emmy nomination. Not long after, she joined CBS 58 where she worked for three and a half years as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
In addition, Tiffany has also been to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked for WKYC-TV as a multimedia journalist, reporter, host, and anchor for almost 7 years. While working at WKYC-TV, she served as the host of the weekly community affairs program, “We the People.” After exiting WKYC-TV, Tiffany joined WTOL 11 in December 2020, as a morning news anchor a position she held till 2023. She has served as a journalist for close to two decades and during this time, she has covered a wide variety of topics.
A while back, she covered the subsequent unrest in downtown Cleveland, protests calling for racial and social justice, and the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers winning the team’s first NBA championship title. In addition, she has had the opportunity to interview many people in the community and many national figures such as; comedians Loni Love, U.S. Attorney General William Barr, and Marlon Wayans.
Furthermore, Tiffany has also covered stories that have received national attention such as; the 2008 Toledo terror trial, the 2005 Toledo riot, and the 2012 mass shootings in Wisconsin at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek. She has also been on the top of a number of high-profile stories and cases including 12-year-old Tamir Rice shooting by police in Cleveland.

After having left the WTOL 11 team on December 20, 2023, Tiffany’s next step will be at WEWS. She is set to join the WEWS news team 2024, as a weekday morning co-anchor of Good Morning Cleveland. On the weekday morning newscast, she will be co-anchoring alongside Mike Brookbank and meteorologist Trent Magill from 4:30 am -7 a.m. In addition, Tiffany will be replacing Danita Harris.
