Tedd Florendo Biography
Tedd Florendo is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist who is working at KLAS-TV where he serves as the Chief Meteorologist. He joined the KLAS-TV news team in 2015.
He attended Mississippi State University where he studied Atmospheric Science and meteorology. Later on, he studied at Washington State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication and media studies in 1998. He was able to secure his first job in Yakima, Washington where he served as a reporter and was later promoted to serving as the morning weather anchor.
Later on, he worked at WFRV in Green Bay, Wisconsin in November 2003, where he served as a weather anchor. While working at WFRV, he chased EF-2 Tornadoes and did live shots for the Weather Channel. He left the WFRV team and joined 8 News Now in June 2004, as a news anchor and reporter. In addition, he earned certification from Mississippi State, and in 2013, he secured a job at WCAU in Philadelphia where he served as the weekend meteorologist. In 2015, he returned to Las Vegas to work at 8NewsNow Evening Edition as the Chief Meteorologist.
