Taylor Lautner Biography

Taylor Lautner is an American actor and model who is best known for playing shape-shifter Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga film series.

Taylor Lautner Early Life

He was brought up in Hudsonville, Michigan which is a town near Grand Rapids. At the age of six, he took his first karate class, and a year later, he joined the national karate tournament which is in Louisville, Kentucky. While he was in Louisville, Kentucky he met Michael Chaturantabut who invited him to the camp he held at the University of California, Los Angeles. He trained with Chaturant for a number of years and earned his black belt by the age of eight.

In addition, he also won a number of junior world championships. In 2003, he made an appearance on ESPN as an ISKA karate event televised which was later lampooned on the sports-comedy show Cheap Seats that first aired in 2006.

While he was in junior high school, he was involved in karate, baseball, and hip-hop dance and he was able to emerge as the winner of “Best Smile” and played in the school’s Turkey Bowl American Football game. In addition, he attended Valencia High School in Santa Clarita, California which is a public school till he was in sophomore.

In addition, he once portrayed the Blue Ranger in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, suggesting to Lautner that he take up acting. For a number of years, he flew for auditions from Michigan to Los Angeles. he was able to balance acting, karate, and being on the football and baseball teams at his school. Later on, his family decided to relocate to California for a month, to try it out, before they relocated in 2002 to Santa Clarita, California.

Twilight is an American romantic fantasy film that is based on Stephenie Meyer’s 2005 novel which is entitled Twilight. In the series, he played Jacob Black who were an old childhood friend of Bella and a member of the Quileute tribe. Initially, Chris Weitz who was a director of the series wanted to recast the role of Jacob Black for Twilight’s sequel. Lautner appeared in the first season, second, and third seasons of Twilight.
