Tammy Bruce Career
Bruce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Southern California. She worked on several Democratic campaigns in the 1990s and was a lifetime Democrat until 2008 when she registered as an independent. Currently, she strives to ensure that her liberal community organizing experience is used in exposing and countering the communist agenda. In the past, Bruce has backed conservatives such as President Reagan, President Bush, and, rather grudgingly, John McCain in the 2008 presidential race. Additionally, upon his victory by recall in 2003, she was a member of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Transition Team. She became an enthusiastic and outspoken supporter of Donald Trump because of his straightforward and honest attitude to personal and political matters and his love for the nation.
As a supporter of free speech and the Second Amendment, Bruce’s background as a radio talk show host has shaped her opinions on these subjects. The “Tammy Bruce Show” had its Los Angeles premiere in 1993 and went on to become a nationwide syndicated program in 2005 with more than 200 terrestrial affiliates. As the first nationally syndicated host to go entirely to internet streaming in 2009, Bruce presented a highly successful live show and podcast on political and cultural themes. She started working as a political contributor for Fox News in 2005. She anchors her show, “Get Tammy Bruce,” on the Fox Nation streaming channel in addition to frequently serving as a guest host for the network’s primetime programming.
The Association for Mature Americans (AMAC) publishes her weekly column on the intersection of politics, society, and business. It is available to the general public and offers exclusive resources and comments to its two million+ members. Bruce has also been featured in profiles, and a wide range of national and international magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, the Washington Times, The Guardian, the San Francisco Chronicle, Esquire, and The Advocate, have published her editorials and commentary on important social issues. Additionally, she gives speeches to a range of audiences across the country, including college, corporate, and civic groups, on a range of subjects. Her most requested commentary is “Contrary to Popular Belief: How Conservative Ideals Empower Women, Gays, and Blacks.”
“The New Thought Police,” Bruce’s debut book, was released in October 2001 by Forum, a Crown/Random House imprint. An examination of the culture wars and freedom of speech highlights the value of these rights as well as individual liberty and how it is being threatened by the perilous development of left-wing McCarthyism. In April 2003, she wrote her second book for Random House, “The Death of Right and Wrong,” which tackles the spread of moral relativism in society and immediately became a New York Times bestseller. “The New American Revolution,” Bruce’s most recent book, “The New American Revolution” is now available in paperback from Harper Collins/Morrow. Bruce is yet to release her fourth book which exposes the political use of fear to control individuals and society at large.
Bruce became involved in feminist action in the late 1980s, concentrating on issues such as violence against women, and women in the workplace, and putting an end to the subordination of women worldwide. At the age of 27, Bruce was chosen president of the Los Angeles chapter of NOW, just two years after she joined the National Organization for Women. Her style of feminism puts her somewhere between Donna Reed and Thelma and Louise. She was exposed to agendas while serving in that role and on their national board of directors, which led her to reject liberal and leftist ideologies. She saw behavior and advocacy that demonstrated the left’s disregard for the interests of the American people and their true goal of destroying the country as a whole to lower the standard of living for its citizens.
