Sylvia Perez is an American Emmy-winning anchor working for FOX 32 as the weekday morning co-anchor of Good Day Chicago at 9 am and the noon anchor. She joined the FOX 32 team in 2016, after previously working for ABC7.
Prior to joining FOX 32, Perez worked at WLS ABC7 where she served as an anchor and medical reporter. She also gained experience in interest in topics involving veterans and she loves reporting. Sylvia had made up her mind on becoming a reporter when she was 10 years old and she enjoyed watching sportscaster Howard Cosell interview athletes during the Summer Olympics.
Sylvia attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned a major in Radio/TV/Film. She interned with a public television station and she covered State Capitol politics with stories. Her internship resulted in her securing a job as a broadcast journalist in a number of markets in the country. In addition, she reported on major stories that were about; medicine, politics, education, and the military.
