Steph Florian is an American anchor and reporter working for Global News as the weekend Weather anchor and reporter on Global News Morning and Global News at Noon. She joined the Global News team in 2022, after previously working for CTV News.

Florian completed her Liberal Arts studies at Marymount California University in 1991. In 1993, she received her bachelor’s degree in Psych, Psychology and Dance from the University of Oregon. Additionally, Florian is a proud graduate of Naropa Institute, where she received a Masters’s credit, in Dance Therapy and Performing Arts. In 2000, she earned her Advanced Certificates in Performing Arts Management in Performing Arts Management from Capilano University. Furthermore, Florian majored in Broadcast Journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Florian is a people person who likes interacting in person with the community for shows like Taste of the Neighbourhood. Florian has a varied career in TV, cinema, communications, and radio before joining Global BC. In addition to hosting and reporting at major market TV networks and radio stations, she has worked as a community reporter for News1130. There, she anchored Vancouver’s weather forecast for more than ten years and contributed to national travel and health programs for CTV’s The Social. In addition to her career, Florian spent six years working as a Writer at Snowshoe Magazine. She also served as a weekly Westender columnist at Glacier Media Inc. Airing on both Shaw TV and Novus Cable in its first season, 24/604TV is a unique Vancouver Lifestyle Magazine show.
Highlighting the best of Vancouver, she hosted everything ‘Fit and Fun’ around the Lower Mainland. Florian spent 4 years working as a Writer and host of an Outdoor Sports On Air feature at 102.7 The PEAK and as a Promotions Coordinator at 93.7 JRfm. During her spare time, Florian enjoys acting, surfing, yoga, and traveling. She firmly believes in the many advantages of living life to the fullest.
