Star Harvey is an American meteorologist working for PIX 11 as a weekend morning meteorologist from 8 am to 10 am and as a weekday feature reporter. She joined the PIX 11 news team in April 2022, after previously working for KREX 5.

Los Angeles, California is where Harvey was born and brought up. She joined the California State University Of Northridge (CSUN) where she earned a bachelor’s degree i journalism. Her love for weather was reignited while she worked at ABC7 KABC Los Angeles where she served as anews assistant for two years. In addition, Star also attended Mississippi State University (MSU) where she earned a degree in geoscience.
Harvey has also worked form many media platforms and not long ago, she worked for for KIAH in Houston, Texas. While she was there, she served as a co-host of a lifestyle show known as Houston Happens and as a meteorologist on the morning show, “No Wait Weather + Traffic.” Furthermore, began her meteorologist journey covering weather in Houston and its impact on areas throughout Texas while on set in Texas during Winter Storm 2021.
Prior to joining KIAH Houston, Harvey worked at KREX News 5 News Grand Junction, CO while was her first job, While she was at KREX, she began as a multimedia journalist and later took up the role of the weekday evening meteorologist. In addition, she has also worked for CSUN owned 88.5 KCSN and the LA Parent Magazine as an editor/ anchor.
Over the years, Stae has covered all types of weather such as; hurricanes, droughts, snowstorms, wildfires, and all other types of national weather phenomena, Her love for weather started at a young age after she lost her home in the 6.7 magnitude earthquake that rattled her hometown of Northridge, California back in 1994. Furthermore, whenever she finds time, she loves spending time, in the community while speaking to inner city youth about weather.
